Holy shit.

Whatever I’d thought would happen when I chose to drive over to Felix’s with the pastries, this wasn’t it.

I grabbed the cupcake and wondered about the universe. Because what would be more symbolic than Felix’s favorite cupcake changing from something dark into something kind of cheerful looking while the man himself was loosening up a little.

Following Felix to the bedroom was easy. He’d pulled his pants up and walked in his usual stiff way, but there was still a hint of that post orgasmic looseness in him, too.

Part of me had thought he’d kick me out immediately after the stellar as fuck blowjob. I knew he’d had no plans of ever getting that far with me again. I’d expected to be told to leave after I told him I wanted more, but there I was, walking into his bedroom with the sparkly cupcake in my hand, while my dick flopped around because I’d left my pants behind.

I snickered, and Felix turned his head to glance at me.

“What?”

I just gestured at myself with the cupcake, and he grinned briefly.

He was still holding back so damn much. I wasn’t sure if it was because he didn’t want to let people close and thought that having fun and being positive around someone would mean they’d get ideas, or if it was him not wanting to feel happier. I imagined he hadn’t let himself truly feel that in a very long time.

Maybe he’d forgotten how? Well, I’d help him, whether he wanted that or not. Because he still hadn’t said no.

Felix stopped by his bed and glanced at me again. He was so damn hard to read sometimes, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would’ve said he was apprehensive and waiting for me to run as soon as he wasn’t “enough” for me in bed. He was trying to get it over with, because he thought disappointing me now would drive me away and then he could get back to his solitary living. It was as if he didn’t know me at all.

He didn’t know me well, but if he’d thought about what he did know about me, he’d soon understand that I wasn’t shallow. He expected the happy go lucky, cock hungry twink I’d been five years ago. Snorting, Felix did as I said, but when he sat on the edge of the bed to move to a more comfortable position, it was clear he felt awkward.

I averted my gaze to give him room and put the cupcake on the bedside table. Then I busied myself by pulling off my T-shirt and dropping it over the footboard of the bed. I didn’t want it on the floor where Felix might stumble over it.
